For much of my life, I felt like I didn’t fit anywhere. I became a shapeshifter, adjusting who I was depending on those around me, searching for love, belonging, and a sense of worth. But the truth was, every time I did that, I strayed further away from myself.

 

I wore mask after mask, trying to be what I thought others needed me to be. With every mask, I felt more disconnected, unseen, and unsure of who I really was. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but I wasn’t just hiding from the world. I was hiding from myself.

 

Everything came crashing down during a painful breakup in my mid-twenties. The breakup was a wake-up call, a painful realisation of how much I had abandoned myself. It forced me to confront the truth: the life I’d built wasn’t mine. It was a version of me I’d created out of fear. Fear of rejection. Fear of not being good enough. Fear of being truly seen.

That moment became my awakening. It was raw. It was messy. But it was also the start of something beautiful. I began to unlearn the stories I’d been telling myself, the lies that had kept me small. Through self-development, spirituality, and inner healing, I started peeling back the layers and reconnecting with the version of me I’d buried long ago.
